Q. Will I need to travel out of state for my procedure? Answer
A. Traveling out of state will depend on the type of procedure you are having and where the medical facility specializing in the procedure is located. Q. Can I have someone travel with me? ANSWER
A. Yes, in fact, it is required that patients traveling for a medical procedure be accompanied by a travel companion. This may be a spouse, family member, or possibly a friend who is at least 18 years old. If a rental car is necessary, your travel companion then must be at least 25 years old. Travel expenses for both you and your companion are covered and set up by your Hostcare Travel Specialist.
