Q. How will I be able to communicate with my surgeon prior to the procedure? Answer
A. Once a surgeon has been chosen, you will receive their contact information and we will provide the surgeon with your contact information. A telehealth appointment or an in-person consultation (depending on distance) will be scheduled to allow for introductions and a thorough review of what to expect. We want you to have an opportunity to ask the surgeon your questions. Q. Where will I need to go to have my necessary scans done prior to surgery? ANSWER
A. Your Hostcare Patient Navigator will work with you to determine the best facilities to use for any necessary scans or testing done prior to surgery. If any of these tests have already been performed, you can request a copy directly from your current provider or the Patient Navigator can work directly with your current provider to obtain the results.
Q. How will my X-rays, MRI, CT-scan, etc. be provided to the surgeon? ANSWER
A. Your Hostcare Patient Navigator will work with you to ensure the surgeon has all the necessary information and records prior to your telehealth appointment or in-person consultation. If you have not yet started working with a local medical provider, your Patient Navigator will work with you to obtain any testing necessary to evaluate the procedure.
Q. Who selects the surgeon or specialist I am being referred to? ANSWER
A. Your Hostcare Patient Navigator, in conjunction with the facilitator at the medical facility, will make recommendations to you on their selected surgeon. In the case of requiring a specialist, the medical experts within the provider group will present specialists for you to review.
As always, the final decision on who the surgeon or specialist is and where the procedure is done will be yours. Q. Can you assist me in finding a surgeon that can accommodate my special needs? ANSWER

Q. Can I see the surgeon’s credentials? ANSWER
